VIP seeks to raise $300,000 by the end of 2026 as we launch the Lee Zimmerman Memorial Fund. The Fund was launched at our 45th Anniversary Gala on September 26, 2026 in memory of our friend, advocate, and onetime Board President, Lee Zimmerman, who passed away last November. We believe “equal justice under law” is still an ideal worth striving for, but the realities of life in America’s poorest big city keep too many of our neighbors from getting legal help when they need it most.
VIP recruits volunteer attorneys, paralegals, and others from the private bar to close the civil justice gap. Your tax-deductible donation helps remove the biggest barrier to legal representation: the price tag.
