Client seeks assistance with an adverse possession matter. In 1997, client entered into a lease agreement with the executrix of deceased record owner’s estate via a third-party real estate company. Client paid her first month’s rent and security deposit at the time of the signing. About one month later, client received a call from the real estate company stating that the executrix had died and they would no longer be managing the property. Client stopped paying rent but continued living in the home and remains there to this day. Client would now like title to her home so she can apply for repair assistance. A volunteer is needed to file a quiet title action based on adverse possession to help client obtain title to her home.
