Client seeks assistance with an urgent landlord tenant matter. The eviction complaint seeks a judgement of possession and a money judgement for unpaid water for an unspecified period of time, along with court costs and attorneys fees. Client’s landlord sued her and her father, who is also on the lease, in a previous eviction hearing August 2018. The resulting Judgment by Agreement stipulated that client and her father were to begin paying the exact amount of all future water bills rather than a flat monthly fee, as was initially outlined in the lease. Client believes that they have maintained their obligation under the terms of the this JBA and as such, does not owe the landlord for any unpaid water bills. Client’s mother, who pays the water bill, can document via her bank statements that she has made all of the requested water payments since the JBA was entered into in October 2018. Client would like time to move out of the property. Landlord is represented by Michael Williams, Esq. An eviction hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2019, at 8:45am in Courtroom 3.
