Client entered into a rent-to-own agreement for a property in October 1997. The agreement stipulated that client would receive title to the property after he paid off the mortgage on the property. The record owner passed away in 2017. The deceased record owner’s husband has Letters of Administration and is willing to carry out the agreement and transfer title to client once client has finished paying of the mortgage, which he is on track to do shortly. A volunteer is needed to help client obtain title of the property, including drafting a deed transferring title to client and applying to the Tangled Title Fund to cover transfer taxes.
