Client paid January 2020 rent, and client had February 2020 rent, but landlord never came to pick it up. The eviction complaint seeks (partial) September 2019, full December 2019 to February 2020 rent, water bill, court costs, and ongoing rent from the date of filing. Defenses include proof of rent paid, excess security deposit, and failure to receive Certificate of Rental Suitability. Client wants additional time in the property to save money to move out.
