Client seeks assistance with custody and contempt hearings regarding her 3-year-old son; the hearings were administratively canceled and will be rescheduled. In April 2018, client kicked child’s father out of their home after alleged abuse. That same month, child’s father petitioned for sole legal and physical custody. At an August 2019 hearing, client was granted partial physical custody, with custodial time every other weekend, and shared legal custody. However, client and child’s father mutually agreed not to follow the order, and began exchanging the child every two days. In September 2019, client petitioned for primary physical custody of the child. In October 2019, client filed a contempt petition after child’s father changed the child’s health insurance and refused to provide her with the information. Client understands that representation may be limited to the upcoming court dates, and she is willing to sign a pro se entry of appearance when the agreed upon representation is complete.
