Client was asked if she would like to remain in the property in December 2019 because landlord was doing renovations to other units, and client said yes. Client was given a 30-day notice to vacate in January 2020, citing termination of term but was not provided a reason. Client began withholding rent in January 2020. There are multiple habitability issues and four open L&I violations. Client wants to remain in the property.
