Client seeks representation for a custody hearing yet to be scheduled. In September 2020, client filed a petition for primary physical and legal custody of her three grandchildren. Prior to his death earlier this year, the children’s father had full custody of all three children, and they all lived with client. Children’s mother had little involvement in the lives of the children until father’s death. Shortly after father’s death, one child began living with mother. Client would like children to have visitation with their mother and would like primary physical custody of her two grandsons. Client is open to her granddaughter living with mother as long as she desires, but client wants to be able to care for the medical and educational well-being of all three children. An attorney is needed to represent client at her upcoming hearing. Client understands that representation may be limited to the first hearing and is willing to sign a pro se entry of appearance when the agreed upon representation is complete.
