71-year-old client seeks assistance with probating her husband’s estate. Client lives in a home that is currently in the name of her deceased husband and mother as tenants in common; both passed away intestate in December 2020. However, VIP is not assisting client with obtaining her Mother’s interest in the property at this time. A volunteer is needed to assist client in probating her husband’s estate and getting her name on title to the home for the half interest and filing the inheritance tax return. Client has already completed and signed the Tangled Title Fund (TTF) application to cover costs associated with the probate and deed transfer. Client is Spanish-speaking; interpretation services available upon request.
