Case #22-0047761

Client seeks representation for her custody relocation hearing on June 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM before Judge Daniel Sulman, involving her five-year-old autistic daughter. Opposing party is Child’s father. A March 2021 order granted Client primary physical and sole legal custody, and granted Father partial physical custody. Client filed a notice of relocation in November 2021, in order to move Child to Georgia so she could attend a better school. However, in March 2022, client moved to Georgia without prior approval of the Court. Client states that she and Father discussed the move prior to filing, and that he agreed; but once Client filed, Father filed his objection. Client alleges that Father was not fulfilling his custodial duties, and has been physically abusive towards her. A volunteer is needed to represent Client at her relocation hearing. It should be noted that Father filed modification and contempt petitions, with upcoming hearings on June 22, 2022 and July 12, 2022. While it would be ideal for a volunteer to represent Client at all three events, it is not required.
