Case #22-0048062

Client seeks representation at upcoming collections hearing in Municipal Court on July 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Client has been sued by debt buyer, Midland Credit Management, for $1625.24 originating from a Credit One card. Client does not believe the entire debt is hers, as she believes her credit limit was only $1200. The last payment Client remembers making was $100 in early 2021, at which point her balance was around $700. Shortly thereafter, her card stopped working and Credit One informed her that the account had been closed. Client was pregnant and in the hospital with kidney disease at this time, so she did not follow up on the account. Credit One never sent any follow-up information or attempted to collect on the debt. Ideally, Client would like the debt waived; however, she is willing to enter a payment agreement on the last amount she remembers, if necessary. Client has not yet received proper service. A volunteer is needed to represent the Client at her hearing.
