Case #22-0048193

Client seeks representation at an upcoming custody hearing on September 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm before Hearing Officer Samantha Magras regarding his 1-year-old son. Opposing party is the child’s mother, who is represented. Per a February 2022 order, Mother has primary physical custody, and Client has partial physical custody from Wednesday-Thursday and three weekends out of the month; the parties share legal custody per the same order. In April 2022, Client filed a petition to modify the current order to 50/50 shared physical custody, citing that he would like Child to spend more time with his siblings and Client, and to have a less scattered schedule. Client alleges that Mother has anger issues and was previously arrested for assault. Client had a Protection from Abuse (PFA) order against Mother, following an incident in which she visited his house with a gun and said she was going to kill him. The PFA expired a few months ago. A volunteer is needed to represent Client at his hearing. It should be noted that Client also has a contempt hearing on October 6, 2022 at 9:00 am. While it would be ideal for a volunteer to attend both hearings, it is not required.
