Case #22-0048412

Client seeks representation at her upcoming custody relocation hearing on October 24, 2022 at 9:00 AM before Judge Daniel Sulman, regarding her 15-year-old daughter. Opposing party is the child’s father. A 2011 custody order granted the parties 50/50 shared physical and legal custody. Client alleges she has been primary caregiver and that Father only takes Daughter occasionally, often leaving her with his parents, and does not help out financially. Client also alleges past abuse by Father. Client decided to move to Texas to be closer to her partner’s parents and for Daughter to have access to better schools and more extracurricular opportunities. She filed a notice of relocation in March 2022 and Father filed an objection shortly thereafter. Client moved in April, but had Daughter remain in Pennsylvania with her paternal grandparents to avoid violating the custody order. Client’s goal is to be able to relocate Daughter to Texas. A volunteer is needed to represent Client at her hearing. Father is represented.
