Client seeks representation in an auto accident case scheduled for arbitration on April 3, 2023, in the Court of Common Pleas. Client is being sued for allegedly hitting the car that the plaintiff was a passenger in through Lyft, a ride-hailing service. Client was pulling out of a parking spot when the Lyft driver, who had a red light, turned the corner and hit her as she was pulling out. She has a valid driver’s license but had no auto insurance at the time of the accident. Client was served on October 22, 2022, and she and VIP have both requested an extension to respond to the complaint but have yet to hear from opposing counsel. A volunteer is needed to help respond to the complaint and defend client in the lawsuit.
