Client seeks assistance with a quiet title action to gain title to the home she purchased through a rent-to-own agreement. In 2013, client entered a rent-to-own contract with Madison Mortgage. In 2022, client completed her payments and received a letter from the mortgage company confirming she paid her loan in full and that she would receive documentation releasing the lienholder. Client never received these documents and still does not have title in her name. A volunteer is needed to help client reach out to the mortgage company and/or lienholder to try to get title, and if unsuccessful, to assist client to file a quiet title action against the proper parties and represent her throughout the case.
