Client would like to become the legal guardian of her adult son who has an intellectual disability. Client has always cared for her son and now that her son is no longer a minor, his teachers and physician have encouraged Client to seek guardianship. Client would like guardianship to continue to make medical and financial decisions on her son’s behalf as she always has, as well as to handle a custody matter concerning her son’s child. The expert report has already been filled out and notarized. A volunteer is needed to file a petition for guardianship and represent the client throughout the process.
