Case #23-0049535

Client requests representation for a custody hearing on August 15, 2023 at 9:45 am before Hearing Officer, Michael Zaleski, regarding his 14-year-old and 10-year-old children. Opposing party is the children’s mother. A November 2020 custody order granted Client and Mother shared legal and physical custody. In March 2023, Client filed a petition to modify custody because the court order requires the parties to split their disabled daughter’s medical supplies so that they can both care for her at their respective residences. However, Mother refuses to share the medical supplies with Client and this has resulted in daughter missing doses of her seizure medication. Client also does not feel that the children are safe when visiting Mother because their son found, and played, with Mother’s unsecured work-issued firearm on more than one occasion. Client’s goal is to obtain primary physical custody and and sole legal custody. Client is agreeable to Mother having visitation. A volunteer is needed to represent Client at the custody hearing.
