Warm paternal grandmother needs a volunteer to represent her at a custody hearing on August 29, 2023 at 10:30am before Judge Godwin-Pierce, concerning her 8-year-old granddaughter. Opposing party is the child’s mother. In 2019, the child’s maternal grandmother filed for custody but was denied due to lack of standing. Granddaughter currently lives with Client and has done so almost her entire life. However, the child is infrequently picked up by, and sometimes stays with, her mother. In April 2023, Client filed for sole legal and physical custody as she wants her granddaughter to have more stability. A volunteer is needed to represent Client at the upcoming hearing.
