Case #23-0049928

Hardworking 82-year-old Client needs representation for an arbitration in the Court of Common Pleas on February 15, 2024. In 2019, Client bought a car and financed it with the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union (PFFCU). After suffering various health problems due to the difficulty of his job and his age, Client became unable to work. He could no longer afford the loan, so he contacted PFFCU and they said he could return the car. Client did not know he was still responsible for the debt until he was served on April 26, 2023. Client is being sued by PFFCU for over $14,000. The stress of the situation has exacerbated Client’s existing health issues. Client’s goal is to negotiate the debt down and enter into a payment plan, if necessary. Client has filed a pro se answer and petition to proceed in forma pauperis. A volunteer is needed to represent Client throughout the process. Client is Spanish-speaking; interpretation services available upon request.
