Grateful and responsive 73-year-old client seeks assistance gaining title to the home she’s lived in since 1990. Her husband who recently passed in 2021 is the sole record owner. Client has a very small DHS bill but VIP has started the process of getting her a hardship waiver. Client is guaranteed partial title, but will potentially be able to get full title. A volunteer is needed to probate the husband’s estate, including drafting a deed transferring title to client. VIP staff has assisted client in filling out the Tangled Title Fund Application (TTF).
