Case #23-0050213

Daughter needs help stepping into her late mother’s role as administrator of her father’s estate in order to obtain title to her home. Client’s father, DRO, was the only one on title to the home. He died in 2009, leaving his wife, and four children behind. Client’s mother opened his estate in 2009, but she passed away in 2017, without having transferred the property out of DRO’s estate. Client is administrator of her mother’s estate. Client’s three siblings, DRO’s remaining heirs, all executed renunciations to allow client to be substituted in as administrator for DRO; and they are all willing to transfer their interest in the home to client. Client will be the only one on title. A volunteer will need to file a petition to substitute client as DRO’s administrator, help client probate the estate, and help client prepare and record a new deed transferring title into her name.
