Lovely and attentive 38-year-old client wants to get title to her late father’s house. Client’s father held sole title to the property and died intestate in 2021, leaving behind client and her brother as the only heirs. Client’s brother is willing to give up interest in the property. Client has been living in the property since her father’s death and needs title to get her name on, and qualify for programs to assist her in paying the water bill. VIP is assisting client with Tangled Title Fund application, which will be provided in the case file. A volunteer is needed to help probate the father’s estate, including transferring title to client and filing and inheritance tax return.
