Gracious client, who now lives out-of-state, seeks representation in a debt collection matter. An arbitration hearing is scheduled in the Court of Common Pleas for April 29, 2024 at 9:15am. Client has not yet been served. Client is being sued by American Express for about $12,200. Client stopped paying on the card after she experienced financial hardship due to a divorce and the COVID-19 pandemic. Client’s goal is to negotiate a payment plan. A volunteer is needed to respond to the complaint and represent client throughout the process. Client is also being sued on another debt (Case 23-005029). It is encouraged for a volunteer to take both cases but not required.
