Client and her brother inherited two properties from their father’s estate. Brother lives in one, and client is responsible for the other. They wanted to be on title to both properties together, and they currently hold title as tenants by the entirety. In making their estate plans, they have decided that they want to own both properties as tenants in common. That way client can leave her interest in both properties to one of her daughters, and her brother can leave his interest in both properties to his son. A volunteer is needed to help client with her estate planning documents. It is encouraged but not required to also help update their deeds and help brother with his estate planning, which are two separate cases.
