Case #24-0059246

Hearing: May 30th, 2024, at 8:45 AM

When Client’s home of 10 years came under new ownership, she asked the new Landlord to make repairs to the hazardous electrical system, leaking ceilings, and exterior structural damage. Landlord refused, stating that he did not know the home had issues when he bought it. Client began withholding rent in March, and Landlord is now attempting to evict her and sue for $2700. There are five open L&I violations on the property. Client would like time to move out and does not want to pay the back rent, as Landlord did not maintain a safe or habitable property. Landlord is represented by Jenel Marraccini, Esq.
