Responsive client is facing eviction and a $17K money judgment. Landlord alleges rent due from November 2022- April 2024. Client disputes this, stating that she only stopped paying rent in December 2023 after receiving a notice to vacate. There are numerous repair habitability problems, including a mouse infestation and severe leaks from the roof and in the basement, which have damaged Client’s belongings. Given the habitability issues, Client is hoping to move out without paying the rent owed; however, she is potentially amenable to a payment agreement on a reduced amount.
