Estate Planning CLE: Protecting Homes and Empowering End-of-Life Dignity through Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Directives
February 21 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 amFree
Please join Philadelphia VIP for a CLE training on estate planning led by Roxane Crowley and Lindsay Schoonmaker.
Clients living in poverty have straightforward but vital estate planning needs. Many own their home and would like to make sure it goes to the family or loved ones who have cared for them and who are often already living in the property. Clients also need financial powers of attorney and advance directives to ensure their affairs are properly handled by a trusted relative or friend, should they become unable to act on their own behalf and so that provisions are place to care for them should they fall ill. This discrete pro bono opportunity has a marked impact on clients’ lives and the lives of their families and loved ones. It also has an impact on the larger community in avoiding the significant tangled title problems that arise when there is no estate plan in place.
Attendees will earn one (1) substantive CLE credit if they accept a VIP case within 6 months of the training. Breakfast will be provided.
