Guardianship Training: Helping Neighbors Care for Incapacitated Loved Ones

Help clients care for their loved ones

Legal guardianship allows Philadelphians to care for their loved ones who cannot care for themselves.

Without an attorney’s help, guardianship is out of reach. Learn how you can help.

When an adult of any age becomes incapacitated, or is otherwise unable to make financial, medical, or personal decisions on their own behalf, a loved one will often want to take on that responsibility. However, VIP clients typically lack the means and know-how needed to obtain legal guardianship. VIP volunteers help families obtain guardianship over their loved ones, enabling them to provide lifelong care and support.

This training, led by Kathy Ochroch of Blank Rome LLP and Timothy Holman of Smith Kane Holman, LLC, will address the processes and procedures for initiating and completing an adult guardianship petition in Philadelphia County.

This training will take place via Zoom. RSVP below to receive the Zoom information. Email Denise Lynch with questions.
