Supervising Attorney

Reporting to the Managing Attorney and serving on the Management Team, the Supervising Attorney supervises team members and supports volunteer attorneys and low-income clients facing critical legal problems in a range of areas of civil law and procedure, including but not limited to family law, homeownership, and torts, with a particular emphasis on debt collection and guardianship matters. The position is full-time and exempt, with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000, generous employee benefits, and an outstanding team atmosphere. Staff Attorney

Reporting to the Supervising Attorney, the Staff Attorney supports volunteer attorneys and low-income clients facing critical legal needs in areas of civil law such as tangled title, torts, consumer, guardianship, name changes, landlord/tenant, mortgage foreclosure, and family law. The position is full-time and exempt, with a salary range of $50,000 to $55,000, generous employee benefits and an outstanding team atmosphere. Internship Opportunities

Legal Internship – Summer 2020

VIP seeks highly motivated, second- or third-year law students to serve as summer legal interns during the supporting VIP’s work in the many areas where our clients face critical legal needs, including: family law (custody, support, divorce, adoption), homeownership/tangled title (probate, quiet title, and deed transfers), debt collection, guardianship, tort defense, and estate planning. Our legal interns function as valued members of the VIP team. With attentive attorney supervision and training, interns gain valuable skills that will help them launch careers in any sector of the legal profession or in non-profit
leadership.
