Reporting to a Supervising Attorney, the Pro Bono Case Manager plays a critical role in VIP’s volunteer-based service model. Within VIP’s Legal Team, the Pro Bono Case Managers have primary responsibility for working up new cases and placing them with volunteer attorneys who provide pro bono representation.
The position is full-time and non-exempt, with a salary range of $40,000-$45,000, generous employee benefits, and an outstanding team atmosphere. VIP values a diverse work environment and strongly encourages people of color, people who identify as LGBTQ, and people with disabilities to apply. Due to the pandemic, the position is currently remote until VIP determines that it is safe to resume in-person operations.

The Foster, Flowers and Ziomek Legal Fellowship – named for three Philadelphia lawyers admired for their commitment to pro bono, mentoring, and collegiality in the profession – is a paid opportunity designed to provide a recent law school graduate with a strong foundation to begin a legal career in Philadelphia.
The Fellow supports VIP’s work in the many areas where our clients face critical legal needs, including: consumer, family law, guardianship, landlord-tenant, immigration, tax, tort defense, homeownership, mortgage foreclosure, nonprofit, and small business.

AmeriCorps VISTA members serve one-year terms with VIP to expand our capacity to recruit and retain volunteers and represent low-income clients. Each VISTA member focuses on a particular project, such as Philadelphia’s tangled title epidemic, the emerging eviction crisis, or volunteer engagement.
