Liz Tarloski Departs for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA

This month, VIP bids a fond farewell to Landlord/Tenant Staff Attorney Liz Tarloski. Liz will join Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) as a Staff Attorney in their newly-created Veterans Advocacy Project. She specialized in this area before joining VIP in 2017, and she is excited to work with this population again and help grow LASP’s new program.

VIP thanks Liz for her creative and tireless advocacy on behalf of VIP’s tenant-clients and the volunteers who represent them.

Here’s what Liz has to say about her time at VIP:

I’ve learned so much from everyone in the VIP community, from our clients, who helped me understand the impact housing has on every aspect of a family’s life, to our volunteers, who showed me what true dedication is, to my colleagues, from interns on up.

VIP, apart from being a supportive environment with amazing and dedicated colleagues, does such important work for tenants in Philadelphia. Each day, my coworkers and I were motivated by the fact that if we didn’t place a case with a volunteer attorney, our client would be on their own in court.

The next attorney in my role will make an impact not only on individual clients and volunteers, but on the city’s housing landscape as a whole.

Get involved in VIP’s work by applying for our open Staff Attorney position.
