Welcoming VIP’s Newest Board Members

VIP’s Board of Directors gained three new members this year, and we’re grateful for the talent and dedication each of them brings to the table.

Learn more about Robin C. V. Holts of Vanguard, Kevin M. Levy of Saul Ewing, and Alyson Walker Lotman of Duane Morris.

Robin C. V. Holts

Assistant General Counsel – Sr. Manager, Institutional Investment Group & Financial Advisor Service
Vanguard

Robin has decades of experiences as corporate counsel for companies in the Philly area. She is Assistant General Counsel at Vanguard, where she also leads her team’s participation in pro bono work through VIP. Robin has worked with VIP to organize legal clinics for small business owners and small nonprofits. Under her leadership, Vanguard won the Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. Award at VIP’s Awards Night in 2021.

“I love VIP for doing the yeoman’s work of bringing vitally important quality legal services to underserved communities of Philadelphia. I am excited to serve the organization that serves the community I love so deeply!”

Kevin M. Levy

Associate
Saul Ewing LLP

Kevin primarily works on real estate matters. He leverages his experience in that area for his VIP clients, most of whom are plaintiffs in adverse possession or other quiet title matters. Kevin is also the immediate past president of the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association.

“VIP’s mission resonates deeply with me because it embodies the fundamental principle of justice. As lawyers, we hold a unique ability to navigate complex legal terrain and advocate for those who may not have the means to do so themselves. Volunteering with VIP allows me to get involved directly with serious issues facing Philadelphians, continue to develop my own legal skills, and contribute to this City that I live and work in by working to uphold core values of fairness and equality. By dedicating our pro bono time and expertise, we not only resolve legal challenges but also uphold the dignity and rights of our neighbors.”

Alyson Walker Lotman

Partner
Duane Morris LLP

Alyson is a trial attorney whose practice is focused on products liability litigation and personal injury defense litigation. She is a team lead at her firm’s Transportation/Automotive industry group. Her pro bono practice has touched on guardianship, international child abduction, and federal Violence Against Women Act matters.

“I’m excited to join VIP’s Board because of VIP’s impact in Philadelphia. VIP and its volunteers provide free legal assistance on issues of critical concern – preventing homelessness, supporting family stability, preserving income, and promoting community economic development. I’m excited to help VIP grow its programming and provide even more support to those who need it in Philadelphia.”
