Seminar: The Growth, Impact, and Consequences of Consumer Debt Collection

Explore the impact of debt collection

Join us for a one-hour seminar examining the rapid growth, impact, and consequences of consumer debt collection actions.

Join Stacy Rupprecht-Butler, Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, and Louis Rulli, Practice Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania’s Carey Law School, and Katherine Martin, Senior Manager at the Pew Charitable Trusts, for a one-hour seminar on the impact of consumer debt collection.

Americans have been facing a debt crisis for over a decade. The pandemic has contributed heavily to this crisis, and with it has come a rising tide of debt collection lawsuits. This seminar will discuss the impact of debt collection lawsuits on the most vulnerable in our communities and will address the need for adequate legal representation.

This event will take place over Zoom, a free video-conferencing platform. Please RSVP below for the Zoom meeting information.
